Dog Sled Tour (1.5 Hour)
Mushing a team of friendly Alaskan racing huskies is what many call a
truly Canadian outdoor experience. These dog sled tours immerse you in
the role of a professional driver. You start with a full half hour orientation,
giving you the knowledge to successfully mush your own team of
Alaskan huskies. Following orientation you'll be hands on, hooking up
the sled and the huskies and getting the team ready. Then comes the
thrill and excitement of a 5 km or 12 km tour through the rustic wilderness
surrounding Sun Peaks. Racing through brush and trees to open,
snow covered fields you'll be at one with nature and your team. To wrap
up the tour, you'll unhook the team back at their camp, and realize how
their amazing athletic ability and gentle friendly nature has captured
your heart during this incredible Canadian adventure.
Guests mushing their own team should be in good physical condition
as they might have to run alongside the sled on hills or inclines
Dress warm with good boots (no ski boots) and gloves
Rates are per sled, configuration can be: 1 adult, 2 adults up to
350lbs, 1 adult & 1 child, 1 adult 2 children. Must be 14 yrs to mush.
Operational dates are weather permitting, December 20th start at the
latest.
Cancellation policy is 7 days.
